Founded in 2017, Compartment S4 is a dynamic design practice with studios in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Our journey began as a group of eight friends with a shared vision to create “Compartment S4” as a travelling design studio spreading a positive impact on the built environment. The name Compartment S4 is inspired from the temperament of the robust local train system in India which serves a variety of people and places.

Similarly, we envisioned our practice to adapt to different contexts and people along the journey of a design process. Today it also reflects our structure as a consortium of three key but interconnected design verticals: architecture, urban design and interior design.
