The design of this pantheon challenges the classic structures aiming to host the eternity. Unlike the traditional pantheons in the area, this project full of meaning and coherence balances unusual materials within the traditional enclave in the Requena cemetery.
Its solid and straight geometric forms made of pure concrete are interspersed with a series of small holes offering a light game while illuminating the space. A growing vine from the surrounding vegetation colonises the cold blocks and provides colour and a warmth feeling.
Through the contrast of soft and solid textures and warm and cold colours, the singular entrance offers a warm welcome to this private space for contemplation. Nature is present in every detail, framing and paying a humble tribute to memory in a space full of spiritual meaning.
